Privacy Policy
Last Updated: May 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how AppsDreamers ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the VocabMate Pro mobile app, web app, and website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide. When you create an account we collect your first name, last name, email address, and avatar selection. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from that provider. If you contact support, we keep the messages you send us.
Information created as you learn. We store your learning progress, completed levels, streaks, quiz results, search history, custom vocabulary packs, and preferences so we can sync your account across devices.
Device & usage information. We automatically collect device type, operating system, app version, language, approximate region, identifiers, crash logs, and basic analytics about how the Service is used.
Purchase information. Subscriptions are processed by Apple, Google, or our web payment processor. We receive confirmation of your subscription status and transaction identifiers, but we do not receive or store your full card details.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Sync your progress and personalize your learning experience.
- Process subscriptions and manage entitlements.
- Send notifications you have enabled (reminders, streaks, new content).
- Respond to support requests.
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. Legal Bases (EEA/UK Users)
Where the GDPR applies, we process personal data on the bases of performance of a contract (to provide the Service), your consent (e.g. push notifications and ads personalization), our legitimate interests (to improve and secure the Service), and compliance with legal obligations.
4. Third-Party Services
We rely on trusted third parties that process data on our behalf or as independent controllers:
- Firebase (Google) — authentication and push messaging.
- RevenueCat — subscription management.
- Apple App Store / Google Play — in-app purchases.
- Stripe — web payments.
- OneSignal — push notification delivery.
- AppsFlyer — install attribution and analytics.
- Google AdMob — ads shown to free-tier users on mobile.
- Cloudflare — content delivery and storage.
- Google Gemini — generation of learning stories (no personal data is sent to generate content).
Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Advertising
Free-tier users may see ads on mobile via Google AdMob. Depending on your consent and region, ads may be personalized using advertising identifiers. You can reset or limit ad tracking in your device settings, and premium subscribers get an ad-free experience.
6. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure servers. Dictionary and language-pack data downloaded to mobile devices is encrypted at rest using SQLCipher. All data in transit is protected with HTTPS/TLS. While no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
7. Data Retention
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data, except where we must retain certain records (e.g. transaction records) to meet legal or accounting obligations.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. You can delete your account and associated data at any time from Profile > Settings > Delete Account, or see our Data Deletion page. To exercise other rights, email us at the address below.
9. International Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for international transfers.
10. Children's Privacy
VocabMate Pro is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last Updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
