Getting started
Is VocabMate Pro free?
Yes — there's a free tier with Oxford 3000 Levels 1–50, full dictionary access (with ads), and core learning features. Premium unlocks all 300+ levels, 8 vocabulary packs, offline mode, custom packs, and an ad-free experience.
How does the story-based learning work?
Each level teaches 10 words through a 4-step process: flashcards, an English story using the words in context, a fill-in-the-blank preview, and a native-language story with translations. This contextual approach helps words stick naturally instead of rote memorization.
How many words can I learn per day?
Each level has 10 words. Free users can complete 1 level per pack per day; premium users have unlimited access. The recommended pace is 1 level/day (6 days learning + 1 boss-battle review) — about 60 words a week.
Which languages are supported?
Stories and translations are available in English plus 7 native languages: Bengali, Hindi, Arabic, Urdu, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. You pick your native language during setup and can change it later in More › Learning Language.
Content & offline
Can I use it offline?
Yes. Premium users can download vocabulary packs and the full 147K-word dictionary for offline use on mobile. Packs are encrypted and stored securely on your device. The web version requires an internet connection.
What makes the AI stories special?
Our 5,600+ stories are generated by Google Gemini specifically for vocabulary learning, weaving target words into natural context. They're available in English and all 7 supported native languages.
Can I create my own word packs?
Yes — premium users can build custom packs from any words in the dictionary and learn them with the same story-based flow.
Subscriptions & billing
What plans are available?
Monthly, Yearly (best value), and a one-time Lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
How do I cancel my subscription?
On iOS: Settings › your name › Subscriptions. On Android: Play Store › Subscriptions. For web: your account settings. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge.
Do subscriptions auto-renew?
Recurring plans renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled. The one-time Lifetime purchase does not renew.
How do refunds work?
Purchases through the App Store or Google Play follow their refund policies and must be requested from them. For web purchases, contact us and we'll help in line with applicable law.
Account & privacy
How do I delete my account?
Open the app and go to Profile › Settings › Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and data. If you can't access the app, see our Data Deletion page or email support.
How is my data protected?
Data in transit uses HTTPS/TLS, and dictionary/language-pack data on your device is encrypted with SQLCipher. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
